Several years ago
I became interested in my personal genealogy. I had moved to my paternal
grandfather's birthplace, and found a page of history about our family
in the local library. That set me on a search for more...and more and
more. This is the result, so far! Anyone familiar with genealogy knows
that it is never finished.
Some people will
say that there is no way to prove all of these ties, and maybe they
are right. But it was fun to do, and I'm glad I did it. Since I did it mainly for my children and grandchildren, to give them a sense of history and permanace, I believe I have accomplished at least part of my purpose. So far, I have found 6 of their ancestors fought in the American Revolution, 8 signed the Magna Charta, Several were kings and queens, not a few were born on the 'wrong side of the blanket', and a couple more were executed for various 'crimes'. There are some gaps and bare spots...and some errors, feel free to contact
me to correct them or add to them!
