My husband's maternal grandmother was Alice Onyett Duncan (1862-1963), daughter of Thomas Onyet (1809-1872) and Semira Aldrich (abt.1822-1899), all buried at Princeton, Gibson, Indiana. It was so nice to see your Onyett photos as we had never seen any of them. Thank you. I also enjoyed your oil field photos and stories as I spent many years in Texas.

I noticed that G. William Roberson had a son named Tipton. My g-grandfather had a brother named named Tipton and his name was also William, but nothing else is known about him by anyone. The timeline would fit, but we are in TN/NC area. Do you have anything else on Tipton?

Hi, Im a Mechler,who never knew my real grandfather, but he was a Mechler from Castorville Tx,(or is it spelled Castroville?)My grandmother remarried before I was born, and I think he died before I was born, anyway, his name was Sebastian, or so I thought , but my 2nd cousin says his name was Bash, or Basch, which could have been short for Sebastian,or maybe not.anyway my father just passed away last december, and he was born in Fredericksburg, or close to it,His name was Mark Vincent Mechler I was just wondering if he was related to the Mechlers in your website, or if he went by another name?
